Sculpture museum named after the famous sculptor Henry Moore (1898-1986) who was born and raised in Yorkshire. The Institute was set up as a charity by Moore in 1977 to promote art to the general public, and is free to enter and offers free guided tours. Exhibitions focus on modern and abstract art, with traditional and modern sculptures in the permanent display. There is also a library, café and gift shop.
