York Castle Museum

A fascinating social history museum, the Castle Museum is the most popular folk museum in Britain. Features include recreations of period interiors where you can handle some of the items; a cobbled Victorian street where you can actually buy from some of the shops; and a 1960's display.(Alight at The Stonebow).

Throughout 2010 children can enjoy free entry when accompanied by a paying adult (does not apply to organised groups) - see the website for more details.
