Bridestones, Crosscliff and Blakey Topping

The Bridestones and Crosscliff Estate covers an area of almost 2 square miles and is a mixture of farmland, open moorland and woodland. Bridestones Moor – named after its peculiar rock formations – is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and nature reserve with typical moorland vegetation, including heather, meadows and ancient woodland. The Bridestones Nature Trail is approximately 1½ miles long and leads visitors through a range of habitats. At Blakey Topping, at the northern end of Crosscliff Moor, you can enjoy stunning 360 degree views from the summit as well as family fun with bug-hunting and stream-dipping.
