Tickets are getting simpler in York from 18 March13-03-2018
We're making our range of tickets in York simpler than ever before, with some of our ticket boundaries now extended to include picturesque places like Castle Howard, Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside!
When we took over the 29, 31 & 31X in January, we kept the same fares and tickets as Stephensons to make things easier for you. We mentioned at the time that we would review these at a later date, so here's what's changing from Sunday 18 March.
York and YorkPlus tickets
Our existing York and YorkPlus tickets are getting bigger and better than ever!
- York area tickets can now be used on the 29, 29A, 31 and 31X between York and Skelton, and on the 181 between York and Castle Howard
- YorkPlus tickets can now be used across the whole of the 29, 29A, 31 and 31X (including to Helmlsey and Kirkbymoorside), and on the 181 to Castle Howard
10, 12 and 20 journey tickets
Not many people buy these tickets, so we'll be removing them from all routes, with the exception of the 29/29A/31/31X, where you'll stil be able t buy a 12-journey ticket between York and Easingwold. The price for this ticket will be £28.
Stephensons Rover, District Saver and City Saver
These tickets will be replaced with our existing range of Daytripper, York and YorkPlus tickets. Daytripper and our range of Gold weekly, monthly and 12-journey tickets are cheaper and offer much better value, including travel on most other Transdev buses across Yorkshire and Lancashire!
Coastliner point-to-point tickets
Very few people buy the point-to-point weekly tickets on Coastliner within York, so these will be replaced with our York and YorkPlus range. Point-to-point weekly tickets will still be available to buy everywhere else on Coastliner.
