Changes to Coastliner from Sunday 1 July05-06-2018
We've taken a good look at how we can improve Coastliner and listened to your feedback, and from Sunday 1 July, we'll be making some exciting changes to Coastliner.
Here's your roundup of the changes.
Introducing Coastliner Express - NEW fast buses to the coast for the summer
We've listened to your feedback about reliability and journey times on buses to the coast.
For the summer (1 July - 31 August), we're introducing new FAST buses between Leeds, York, Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington.
Coastliner Express X40 will run fast from Leeds and Seacroft Green to York and Whitby. It won't stop in Tadcaster, Copmanthorpe, Stockton on the Forest, Malton, Thornton-le-Dale, Goathland or Ruswarp.
The current 845 to Bridlington will be replaced by the brand new X43, running FAST between Leeds, York, Scarborough and Bridlington.
Coastliner Express X43 won't stop in Tadcaster, Copmanthorpe, Stockton on the Forest, Malton or Seamer. We'll be running fast between Leeds, Seacroft Green and York, and then on to Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington.
It's fantastic news if you use Coastliner to get to the coast - Coastliner Express will be up to one hour faster than Coastliner is at the moment, giving you even more time to spend on the beach!
Our usual range of incredible value tickets will apply, and you'll still be able to use your concessionary bus pass on board, too.
Tweaks to the timetable
We know there's been some confusion about which stops Coastliner uses between Leeds and Seacroft, so in order to make things simpler, Coastliner will stop at all of the bus stops between Leeds and Seacroft Green from 1 July.
Most trips will also see some small tweaks to their timetable, to help improve reliability for you. Download your new timetable for Coastliner and Coastliner Express here.
